laid off for six months or more?

in that case, read on...

Was losing your job the best thing that ever happened to you or one of a series of terrible misfortunes? Did you train for a marathon, finally finish War and Peace, take up figure-skating, travel to India, become addicted to soap operas, or download every episode of "Six Feet Under?"

We want to hear about it.
OtP is looking for stories of the unemployed for our upcoming issue on Work. Tell us your tale of what you did or didn't do in 500 words or less. Be sure to include how long you were or have been unemployed, what you did before, and what you are doing now.

Unfortunately we can't hire you, but we might be able to publish you. Send your tale with contact information, including name, address, phone number, and e-mail address, by March 15 to unemployed@onthepage.org.

In the meantime, we wish you all a happy and peaceful holiday season
