Dear readers,
OtP begins the new year with Failure. For the next several weeks, we'll look at rejection, incompletion, and incompetence in a variety of realms. This week, we begin with a conversation with writer and social critic Barbara Ehrenreich on society's economic and moral failures. We address more humorous personal reflections on failure in part one of Edward Belfar's short story, Leaving the Chesapeake. In Seder in Prison, poet Israel Halpern returns to OtP with a poem concerning redemption, and in Corona, poet Elaine Verdill takes a look at the night sky. We also offer the first of the winning entries in our 150-word failure challenge.
In the coming weeks, look for more tales and essays on failure, fiction, and some advice on how to succeed in life culled from L. Ron Hubbard.
All the best,
nada
