Mirna Ayala grieves for her son, Julio Ayala, during a candlelight vigil at the Airport Inn in South San Francisco where his life ended suddenly in a fight with police. Ayala, who was found to have cocaine in his bloodstream, died April 3, 2005 when police used a straight jacket-like device in an attempt to bring him under control.
